Spearheading the redesign of Bank of the West’s digital channel experience including mobile, tablet, web and online banking.
As the first User Experience Director at Bank of the West, Andrew Gold built the team in-house user experience team from the ground up.
He transformed the digital brand by directing holistic designs for Mobile Banking, bankofthewest.com, Online Account Opening, Online Banking, Online Investing, and social properties.
The homepage redesign won Interactive Media Awards 2013 Best in Class award.
Wells Fargo
Designing and launching Wells Fargo Community, the first proprietary social media property for Wells Fargo.
This large scale, public-facing community is the first fully social platform geared at truly social, user-based communications for Wells Fargo.
Andrew directed the design and implementation. Wells Fargo Community was a first for Wells Fargo.
Bank of America
Transforming Bank of America through innovation with the Small Business Community and home page redesign.
Consulting with Bank of America eCommerce, Andrew helped transform the Small Business Community from concept to a thriving community.
Extending the power of social media to small businesses everywhere, Andrew directed the design and build of Bank of America’s first proprietary social media platform.

About Andrew Gold
Andrew is passionate about creating engaging digital solutions that millions of people love to use. Since 1995 he has driven transformation and growth at leading companies through digital innovation. Andrew has directed digital channel solutions for leading companies including Amazon, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Bank of the West, Cisco Systems, and Kaiser Permanente. He leads transformation from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
Andrew was Head of UX for Compliance and Worldwide Public Secfor Amazon Web Services (AWS) Containers.
From 2014 through 2020, Andrew served as the Director of Mobile User Experience & Design at Kaiser Permanente, where he transformed healthcare and designed the next generation digital healthcare user experience. He led a top design team in the design, development and delivery of iOS and Android mobile applications and mobile web for Kaiser’s 12+ million members, over 50 thousand care providers and 200,000 workforce. He has served as Director of User Experience for Blue Shield of California, UX and Design Director for Bank of the West, and eCommerce Creative Director for Bank of America and OMIX Networks. Andrew holds a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania.
